What kind of career do you want to have is a question that I have asked myself for many years. Once you begin your career, do you remain status quo in your position, or do you push forward and aim to be the next CFO or CEO? Why does it take some people 20 years to make it, while others can reach their goal in a few years? According to Korn Ferry, it takes women 30% longer to get to the CEO role. Why is that?

Here is a link to a 10-year study on "The Fastest Path to the CEO Job." A 24 year old, hired as an senior accountant, was offered the CFO position in eight months! From there he became the COO, and then after nine years became the CEO!
