I work almost exclusively from home since I started my own business in 2011. I had another spell of remote working in the mid=2000's and was very productive. When I was required to work in an office again, I was amazed at the number of distractions (noise, people dropping by the office for no real reason ("How about them Cardinals?"), the UPS guy showing up when the receptionist was on break, etc. Not to mention that lunch, which at home was a 15 minute break, usually took over an hour just because there were no eating establishments nearby.
I'll take home work any time.

Subject: Working Productively from Home?
Hi Teri,
I usually work in the office but I work from home time to time. In order to be productive, I just have to create a to-do list and complete the items one by one. I think being at home increases by productivity because I can focus solely on the task at hand. I am not distracted by the conversations in the office.
