  • 1.  Sharing Knowledge - College and Workforce

Both in my own experience and observation of others', resources for simple steps to start college, how to get through the Core and Business Courses, and understanding expectations of entering the workforce immediately after graduation are widely spread apart.  I've recently started a blog to help high school students, and students like me, who decided to go back to college after a long hiatus, in these aspects.  I would very much appreciate feedback and ideas as this is new to me.

I want this to be a one-stop resource shop for our future business leaders!

Click on the following link to view my website, then leave your comments either on a blog post or here in this discussion:

    Higher Edumacation

Fair warning, I'm a bit OCD, so we have started from the very beginning: Steps to Start College.

We will eventually be giving tips and tutorials on Core and Business Courses, as well as post tips about how to find a job.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Tiffany,

I think you have a great resource on your hands. The start of college is often a daunting time and having something like your blog to help make sense of it all would be beneficial.

In terms of some advice, I would say you can expand your tagged word selection and select certain tags that you can use across all your pieces such as higher education, learning, business education, college tips and words that generally describe all your pieces. The more frequently you use the same tags the more often you will show up on searches for those words or phrases.

Secondly, I would work on bolstering your social media presence. I saw your piece about the photo shoot and those photos you took would make some good content for an Instagram account. It's easy to link your Facebook and Instagram now that FB owns Instagram and they work really well together! Also, Facebook's advertising platform is robust and easy to use; for very little money you can boost a post that targets a specific group of individuals or <g class="gr_ gr_1418 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="1418" data-gr-id="1418">region</g>. This could be a great way to gain some notoriety for your blog, that is if you don't mind putting some money into it.

Finally, if you are open to writing a blog or even reposting a blog here on ConnectBGS we would love to talk about your ideas. Any sites that link back to your blog will certainly help your standings on a Google search. Please feel free to reach out to me at mplodzien@betagammasigma.org and we can talk about your topic ideas.

    Kind Regards,
