That's a pretty loaded question, right? As the pandemic nears its two-year mark in the US, I feel like I've lived a lifetime since pre-pandemic times. As far as what I've learned about myself…I learned some good and some bad.
For starters, I learned patience is a virtue, and one that I might not have been blessed with. Like many, in March of 2020, my spouse and I instantly found ourselves working full time from home, with our one-year-old child. To say my patience was tested on an hourly basis would be an understatement.
On a much more positive note, though I lack in patience, my ability to roll with the punches (AKA, the seemingly continuous quarantines, new COVID strains, etc.) is stronger than ever. I was forced to have an understanding (and patience) for what the world was going through. Two years later, when new "punches" strike, I feel like I can handle them. My son has to quarantine for a week AND I have a big work deadline? I think to myself, "I've got this."
What have you learned about yourself since the pandemic? Feel free to share the good, and the not-so-good!
