Does anyone have experience in getting copyright permissions from textbook publishers?
For example, I'd like to create study guides or flash cards for my blog, and I'd be obtaining the content from required textbooks at my college. Some of the wording will likely be verbatim of the text.
Is there a different method for asking permission to use the study guides as a free resource versus selling them? Would they provide a copy of their textbook for free, or would I be required to purchase them again? (I've sold most of my textbooks from previous semesters.) Would they provide test banks to give me better ideas of topics for study?
