    Hello, I believe that ownership and transparency create a leader. I earned my MBA and have over twenty years as an efficient liaison within the medical community and throughout the community, to facilitate continuity of care. I am a qualified presenter with responsibilities mentoring, supervising, and initiating strategic marketing. I analyze and evaluate ineffective resource utilization to develop a plan to coordinate and implement standards which encourage a culture of cooperation and safety.

    I currently have a job, but I am looking for a career. I earned my MBA in 2012 and have pretty much been underemployed since then (haven't held any position that required a bachelor's).

    To be honest, I am not sure what I'm looking for at present. In years prior, I had an interest in getting into advertising, but I have heard a lot of negatives regarding the lifestyle. I just know I need a change.

    Elon, thanks for sharing your story!

    There are two things I want to say:

    1. I'm sure you're not alone in not knowing exactly what you want to do. I've been there myself a few times. Even if you don't think advertising would be the perfect fit for you, that doesn't mean it isn't worth exploring. Just because some people may dislike the lifestyle doesn't mean that you won't--and not every advertising job will be exactly the same. You can start out and get a feel for what you like/dislike and adjust accordingly. (You might also want to make a new discussion post here on ConnectBGS asking people about their experiences working in advertising.)

    2. If you're unsure what you want to do, you might want to check out our next cohort of the Alumni Career Design Program, which was created for people who are dissatisfied with their current career/trajectory. The program takes you through a process to help you determine what kind of job will fit you better and create an actionable plan to help you get there. (The next cohort will probably start in March 2021, but we're still finalizing the details.)
