Hello all,
I am hoping that there is someone who has successfully defended their doctoral dissertation and would like to help me out. I'm a sophomore accounting student at the University of Connecticut and I am seriously considering becoming a professor. I really enjoy being a teaching assistant for the introductory financial accounting course and I plan on doing some research before I graduate. I want to work in industry before I'd apply for a PhD program, but if there is someone out there who successfully went through the process, what factors did you consider before going into your line of work? What short term goals should I set in the meantime? Thank you!
