Welcome & Introductions

My name is Justin Balaban, I'm a graduate of The University of Tampa, Phi Kappa Phi member, a fellow BGS member, and Owner and Operator of a newly created cartoon brand. My/our brand has a direct target market, while withholding a unique concept, a unique mission and a unique vision that is almost essential in our nation's 'children and youth'. Our brand is best explained in terms of a new 'Cartoon Universe'. Our characters are all copyrighted, and trademarked while both having a unique biography, origin story, and overall purpose. All of our characters intertwine cohesively so a well rounded and well taught story is told. Collectively, we have about ten (10) characters that supplement our main character of our universe. We've already managed to create a comic book, animation, and website which withholds all the stories mentioned previously.

Ultimately, I am looking to continue branding my company. Our main goal and mission is to create a series with our characters, whether it be a Netflix series or movie, a YouTube channel with educational and entertainment content, or hopefully even featured on network television. As a supplement to our digitally produced video content, we hope to create a branded product line with products featured from story books and activity books, to hygiene products, bedding, clothing, to normal convenience goods.
Our target market would be 'youth' content wise, but as realized, the parents are the ones buying and providing goods and services for their children.
With all that being said, whom do you believe I should be speaking with? I could guess maybe a Branding Director? A talent agency, a production company? I have lots and lots of content that essentially needs to be orchestrated in such a manner so a production company could see value in signing a deal with us.

    Hi Justin,

I've been doing some research on your company and noticed that it does not have much of a presence online. I would suggest creating a YouTube channel and accompanying social media for your company. Creating these channels will help you establish some brand recognition for when you go to share your brand with outside agencies.

As you start to put your content out there and gain some followers you can then look to transition to looking for partners to help your company grow. Since your cartoon focuses on hygiene and health it wouldn't be a bad idea to go through the healthcare route or contact national health and hygiene campaigns about how you can help spread the message through your characters.

Finally, I would work hard on building the series through YouTube as it is free and gives you time to learn, grow and develop as a content creator. In my experience as a teacher I utilized many educational YouTube channels to aid in the classroom and I could definitely see this being utilized in the same way.

Good luck in building your brand! And if you have any more questions feel free to message on here or on my email.

    Regards,
