  • 1.  What are you reading, watching, listening to these days? Any recommendations?

    Happy Friday, everyone! Going into the weekend, I wanted to pop in and ask if anyone has any good recommendations for books, podcasts, or tv/streaming shows?

    I'll go first:

    Books - I just finished "The Power of Fun: How to Feel Alive Again" by Catherine Price (my motivational read for this month) and Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid (my fun read). I would highly recommend both!

    Podcasts – I'm a podcast junkie, so here is my shortened weekly lineup: The Sporkful; Terrible, Thanks for Asking with Nora McInerny; The Daily Show with Trevor Noah; and Didn't I Just Feed You. I'm definitely on the market for a good motivational listen!

    Shows – I'm also struggling in this area…I just finished Nine Perfect Strangers on Hulu after reading the book and I wouldn't say it lived up to my expectations. Other than that, you can find me watching New Girl on repeat.

    Looking forward to some member recs!

    Hi,

    I'm still in school so most of my reading is still stuff that's assigned in classes.  But, I'll add in what I can.

    Books: Wooden on Leadership by John Wooden and Steve Jamison - I've read this book probably 6 times, it's one of my all time favorites on leadership, team building, and creating a values based culture in an organization.

    Podcasts: I haven't gotten to listen in a while but Becoming Change Proof with Adam Markel is always a good listen.

    Shows: I think the last TV show I watched was reruns of The Big Bang Theory but I don't think I've even turned my tv on in the last couple of weeks.

    I think this should be a really good thread, I love getting book and podcast recommendations!  Looking forward to what everyone else posts.
