I always think that "trending topics" is a good place to start. If anyone thinks much about what they have been reading (and found interesting) lately, it's probably easy to think up a few hot topics, e.g.
Will a robot take your job?
Balancing Integrity and Civility on Social Media.
How to be an effective team member.
What is blockchain, and will it affect my work?
There are a variety of online resources that help identify trending topics. Here are some examples:
BuzzFeed TrendingReddit - check the various tabs including "hot" "top" and "rising"
BuzzSumo - Type in a topic like "business ideas" for example
If you are active on Facebook, t
rending topics are listed on the right side of your News Feed in 5 categories: Top Trends, Politics, Science and Technology, Sports and Entertainment. You can switch between categories by clicking the corresponding image. If you're using the Facebook app on a mobile device, you can see Trending topics by tapping the search bar at the top of Notifications.
Of course, equally important is finding someone to be your guest speaker!! We should discuss that as well.------------------------------
