    Hi everyone,

We will be interviewing Bryan Deptula, BGS member, CEO and co-founder of BKD Leaders, to pick his brain about the importance of mentorship, leadership, and much more! If you have questions you would like to ask Bryan please reply to this thread for a chance to have it read during our interview.

Learn more about Bryan Deptula here:

Dr. Bryan J. Deptula makes leaders who make more leaders! Bryan coaches executives to be better, and to drive revenue. He capitalizes on over

16 years of industry experience, his own research, and knowledge of leadership to discover and develop leaders that make organizations grow.

Before the Great Recession, Deptula was an executive for a private-turned-public tour operator. Knowing he was meant to do more, he chose to sacrifice his career and earned his MBA and Ph.D. in leadership and management.

Deptula leveraged practical wisdom and research to become CEO and co-founder of BKD Leaders, a training firm that transforms workers into leaders through assessment, training and executive education-closing the gap on millennial leadership.

Deptula is also an award winning researcher and an associate professor at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.

Hi Matt, some questions for Bryan:
    1) How do great leaders coach i.e. how do they approach this? What do they do to specifically to coach others around them to become better leaders or contributors?

    2) What are some leadership lessons Bryan has learned from those who may be younger or less experienced than he is?

    3) How does he recommend (or suggestions on) consciously "sharpening the saw" - ie improving your own leadership practice?

    Hi Matt,

A couple of questions for Bryan.

       1. Where does he see the future of leadership going?
        2. How do we adapt existing leadership principles in the new virtual world? Are there any principles that he thinks need to be re-evaluated and changed or some that even need to be completely revamped?
        3. What are the 3 pieces of advice that he would give new members who want to explore the realm of further education in leadership beyond an MBA?
        4. How can someone capitalize on their knowledge after earning a Ph.D. in leadership?

    Thanks,
