Welcome & Introductions

Hi Everyone,

My name is Mia Grgicevich, and I am really grateful to have been invited to join Beta Gamma Sigma. I am currently a junior at Rider University (New Jersey) majoring in Finance and a student athlete on the women's soccer team, however I am originally from New Zealand. 

Balancing Division I athletics with academics has taught me a lot about discipline, time management, and perseverance, skills that have helped me both in the classroom and on the field. I've always been someone who works hard and takes pride in staying consistent and focused through challenges, and I'm excited to keep learning and growing through this opportunity. 

I'm still exploring where I want to go within the field, but I'm looking forward to connecting with you all and being a part of this community!

Hi Mia, my name is Jonathan Trownsell. I have recently updated my Beta Gamma Sigma and started blogging. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth in Richmond, Virginia with a B.S. in Accounting. I have found Excel spreadsheet functions, financial calculators, and financial textbook equations to make my education more practical personally and in my career. I am currently active with ideation and innovation blogs, I've studied landscaping, I'm tutoring economics and I'm taking a makerspace course at my alma matter. I wish you lots of success in your field of study and would be interested in how you apply finance.
