Hello BGS Community,
I am honored to join Beta Gamma Sigma and to be part of this distinguished global community of leaders and scholars committed to excellence, integrity, and lifelong learning. I am based in Islamabad, Pakistan, and prior to pursuing my MBA, I earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UET Lahore.
I bring over two decades of professional experience across the upstream oil and gas and energy with a career spanning strategy, business development, regulatory affairs, joint ventures, risk management and international business. Alongside my long-standing work in the energy sector, I have recently expanded my focus to the minerals and metals sector, working on opportunities related to resource development, services, and cross-border collaboration in emerging markets.
I recently completed my MBA from the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where the program further strengthened my strategic thinking, global perspective, and leadership approach. Being inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma is particularly meaningful to me, as it reflects both academic achievement and a shared commitment to ethical and impactful leadership.
Beyond my professional work, I am deeply committed to serving society, especially by supporting education for underprivileged students and mentoring young professionals. I strongly believe that leadership carries a responsibility to create sustainable value and uplift communities.
I look forward to connecting with fellow BGS members, learning from diverse perspectives, and exploring opportunities for collaboration across industries and regions.
Warm regards,
Sufian Ahmed
