    Industry/Current Role: I recently completed my Master of Business Analytics at the University of Auckland and am currently exploring opportunities in data, business, and supply chain analytics. My background spans Power BI, SQL, Python, and R, with hands-on project work in supply chain network design and operational dashboards.

    What I hope to gain from this community: I'm hoping to grow my network, connect with fellow BGS members, and learn from people already working in analytics and operations. I'd also welcome hearing about opportunities in the field and the different career paths people have taken.
    Always keen to swap ideas, and happy to help where I can.

    Hi Jami,

    Welcome to BGS! Since you mentioned your interest in networking, I wanted to share a couple of programs we have that could help you in that area. We have a couple of opportunities, the Virtual Networking Café and our new Virtual Roundtables. Both are great ways to connect with fellow BGS members, but offer different experiences.

    The VNC focuses on group discussion around several topics broken out by breakout rooms. The upcoming session on Oct. 7th has the central theme of AI in the Workplace. The breakout rooms a divided into three different topics, How AI is Showing Up in My Work, Navigating Career Growth in an AI-Driven World, and Opportunities & Challenges of AI Across Industries.

    The Virtual Roundtables focus on facilitator-led small group discussions with an emphasis on shared experiences and in-depth discussions. Many of the topics will focus on areas that support personal and professional growth. The upcoming Sept. 15th session's theme is the Entrepreneurial Experience and will be a conversation focused on the entrepreneurial journey from lessons learned to challenges faced. It will include insights from members who are building, leading, or exploring new entrepreneurial ventures.

    Again, I just wanted to say welcome and I hope that these programs help you kick off your networking journey!
