A highlight of recent events and activities from across the BGS Alumni Network in September:
- Networking Crash Course | Raleigh/Durham Alumni Chapter & NC State: Alumni Chapter President Craig Mathews hosted an interactive session at Collegiate Chapter NC State for student members. Fellow BGS alumni were invited to join those BGS students for a hands-on networking event, giving students the opportunity to practice building professional connections.
- Belle Isle Cleanup & Picnic | Detroit Area Alumni Chapter: Members combined community service with alumni connection through a cleanup at Belle Isle followed by a chapter picnic.
- BGS Uncorked End of Summer Mixer | San Diego Area Alumni Chapter: Alumni gathered for an informal evening focused on conversation, connection and building relationships within the local BGS community.
- Alumni Leader Calls | BGS Global HQ: Alumni leaders connected virtually to exchange ideas, share experiences and discuss opportunities for chapter engagement and collaboration.
We loved seeing the variety of ways our alumni network connected, from peer learning and collegiate/alumni partnership to service and social networking. There's no single formula for bringing members together, and we hope this mix sparks some ideas for your own chapter or group!
Let's keep the ideas going in the comments!
- If you hosted a September event, what worked well, what did you learn or what would you do again?
- What is your chapter or group planning next?
