BGS Detroit Area AC Belle Isle Cleanup & Picnic

We're excited to invite you to our Belle Isle Cleanup & Picnic on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Belle Isle Park in Detroit! 

Join fellow BGS Detroit alumni and community members as we partner with the Belle Isle Conservancy and Friends of the Detroit River for a morning of land cleanup on Belle Isle. Whether you're giving back for the first time or a familiar face from past events, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact and build connections with fellow professionals. 

Event Details 

Date: Saturday, July 18, 2026 

Time: 9:30 AM — 12:00 PM (Check-in begins at 9:30 AM) 

Location: Meet behind the Belle Isle Aquarium, 3000 Belle Isle Pkwy, Detroit, MI 48207 

Cost: FREE — Note: A Michigan State Recreation Passport is required to enter the park by vehicle 

Lunch: A picnic lunch will follow the cleanup, provided by the Alumni Chapter. Participants are welcome to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Don't forget a blanket! 

Drinks: Bring your own beverages 

Supplies: Bring gardening gloves and whatever other equipment you would like to help. 

Age: Open to all ages; minors must be accompanied by an adult 

Waiver: A waiver must be signed with the Belle Isle Conservatory
