Gregory J. Krivacek, PhD, CPA, CGMA, is the faculty advisor for the Beta Gamma Sigma chapter at Robert Morris University. He is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Robert Morris University, School of Business, Pittsburgh, PA. He has more than 20 years of business experience with various organizations in areas encompassing internal and external auditing, taxes, payroll accounting, general and cost accounting, financial planning, and independent business consulting. He has a passion for teaching and been awarded the highest honor at the university presented with the “President’s Distinguished Teaching Award”. He has been an instructor for the past 20 years teaching both undergraduate and graduate accounting courses. Prior to joining Robert Morris University, he has taught for Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania State University, and Duquesne University. His research stream is two-fold: First, focusing on approaches that contribute to reliable financial information of public corporations. Second, focusing on best teaching practices for student learning.
