Entrepreneurial Achievement

The Beta Gamma Sigma Entrepreneurial Achievement Award (formerly known as the Medallion for Entrepreneurship Award) provides national recognition to those individuals who develop, organize, and enhance successful new ventures. Recipients of this signature honor have assumed the risk of starting a business or initiating a new venture/idea within a larger organization. The intent is to focus on our entrepreneurs as the people who drive innovation, our economic engine, and support for new ideas.

Individuals are selected for the Entrepreneurial Achievement Award based on the following criteria:

  1. Entrepreneurs who develop, organize, and launch a successful business venture or social entrepreneurship endeavor that has demonstrated success and proven through its operational results to be a sustainable concept
  2. Exemplars for ethical business leadership and the values of the Beta Gamma Sigma Society, including honor and integrity, and the pursuit of wisdom, earnestness, and service are sought.

A nominee need not have received a degree in business or be a member of Beta Gamma Sigma to receive this award.

Nominations may be received from a Beta Gamma Sigma Honors, High Honors, or Highest Honors Chapter, through the Chapter Advisor or Dean, from an Alumni Chapter Officer, or from a member of the Board of Governors.

BGS is committed to recognizing a globally diverse group of talented business leaders. One to three individuals will be selected annually for the award.
