BGS x SDGs Launch Leadership Conference

Mark your calendars for the live and virtual
BGS x SDGs Launch Leadership Conference beginning November 11!

Beta Gamma Sigma believes business is a force for global good, which is why we've partnered with the SDGs Launch project to bring members a conference that will connect, educate, and empower participants to become catalysts for change in their communities. Through a number of speaker series, workshops, and a case challenge, participants will have the opportunity to reflect and build on their understanding of sustainable development.
What are SDGs? In 2015, the United Nations unanimously adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. The SDGs address the global challenges we face, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The UN plans to frame their agendas and political policies over the next 15 years in an effort to end these injustices. For additional information on the SDGs, click here.

What to expect from this event:
  • Review the history of sustainable development, the structure of the SDGs (17 goals, 169 targets, 231 indicators), and examples of each of the 17 SDGs implemented by a variety of stakeholders
  • Engage in multiple UN speaker series and Q&As
  • Join workshops to create action plans to leverage SDGs in your local community
  • Participate in a sustainability-oriented case competition that will provide you with international networking opportunities
  • Receive a certificate and digital badge upon conference completion
